Whalebone By-Election – Tope Olawoyin

On Thursday February 20th, residents of Whalebone ward will vote for a councillor to represent them following the sad passing of Cllr Glenda Paddle. Your Green Party candidate is Tope Olawoyin.

Tope Olawoyin is a senior marketing and business development professional, writer, social and political analyst, podcast host, and co-creator of the media platform Blvck Canvas. Blvck Canvas amplifies lesser-heard voices in meaningful discussions about politics and current affairs through its podcast and YouTube content.

Tope lives in Dagenham with her family and joined the Green Party this year after becoming disillusioned with the Labour Party. She aims to be an independent Green voice that holds the Labour Council accountable, listens to the community, and fights for your improved quality of life and the local community.
